Right Hook Charters is more of an acquired way of life, rather than a commercial
venture with a rigid business plan. My wife Wendy and I have been coming to the
Lower Florida Keys since 1999. Unlike many of the other guides in the keys, I have
not been fishing all my life. With the loss of my right hand in 1983, fishing was never
on my "things to do" list. Having grown up at the Jersey Shore I have been a boater
all my life, however, it was not until I got a taste of Florida Keys Fishing that I was
"hooked". I have completely embraced fishing in the Keys, taking the time and
exerting the energy to thoroughly learn the sport. Wendy's similar passion to be out
on the water, together with her angling abilities has been a secret ingredient that
allows us to offer our customers a day of fishing that will be fondly remembered.
There are so many positive and exciting reasons to go fishing. Certainly, catching a
once-in-a-lifetime fish will make it all worthwhile, but a fulfilling day of fishing is not
contingent upon catching a "trophy fish". We work hard and do our best to find and
catch the species of fish that we are after, but we also take the time to enjoy the
other marine life, surrounding waters and the people with whom we are fishing.
When you spend a day fishing with us, you will have a rewarding experience and I am
pretty sure you will catch some fish!

Our main boat is a 28' Triton Center Console named RightHook. It is powered by twin
Yamaha 225 four stroke outboard engines. We have the range to go find the fish
and enough boat to comfortably take the ride. The four stroke engines provide a
quiet and exhaust free trip. Our Triton has proven to be very stable when anchored
for reef fishing. RightHook is equipped with all the necessary Raymarine electronics to
give us every advantage when on the water.
We also use a 22' Sea Chaser Bay Runner powered by a Honda 150 four stroke
outboard engine. This boat is great for getting out back into the bay and near Gulf
Waters.
